Wisconsin (The Gaslamp Post) – Stealing is bad enough, but how can someone let alone three different people, rob a guy in a wheelchair? Well three such soulless people are in custody and accused of doing just that.
A 77-year-old, wheel chair bound man from Rockland, Wisconsin, told police that he was in his kitchen around 6:30 pm this past Monday, when a woman in a ski mask barged into his home and took his wallet. Seconds later, a man who was also wearing a ski mask also burst in and stole his cordless telephone. How adorable is it when couples can coordinate their outfits?
The man’s wallet contained between $250 and $300, according to the report.
The victim said that he recognized the female assailant and identified her as 23-year-old Mirika Stuhr, pictured above. After locating her, her boyfriend, 22-year-old Robert Vain, also pictured above, was identified by police as her accomplice.
Also arrested in connection with the caper was a third individual, 25-year-old Taylor Kirby, who told police that she was hired to drive the get away car, for a fee of $5.00.
Clothing worn during the robbery, as well as the victim’s wallet, were discarded out of a car window as the trio drove off into the night. All was recovered with the exception of the wallet. A k-9 officer was able to positively identify the articles as those belonging to Vain and Stuhr.
Initially Stuhr denied any involvement in the robbery, while her boyfriend, Vain, refused to talk to police.
Both Vain and Stuhr remain in custody on $5000 bond, Kirby bonded out on her own recognizances. All three are facing burglary charges and are due in court this coming Thursday.
