Texas (The Gaslamp Post) – A would-be burglar turned up at a Fort Worth area hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, after picking the wrong house, on May 7, 2012. Police say the suspect, whose injuries were non-life threatening, attempted to break into the home of a pastor.
Pastor Anthony Jobe, who leads a congregation in a small area church, said that he was awoken early that morning to the sound of his door bell. He said that he soon heard the sound of banging coming from his side door. Upon investigating, he witnessed an unidentified man, trying to kick in his door.
Pastor Jobe, who is also an Army veteran and concealed carry permit holder, reportedly confronted and then shot the man. The suspect fled the scene but turned up later, at an area hospital.
“That’s unfortunate, shooting pastor, I know,” said the pastor. “I shoot more as a hobby and I like to go to the gun range, but this is unfortunate that this happened like this, but you have to do what you have to do to protect your family.”
The vehicle suspected to have been involved, also had several bullet holes in it. Two suspects connected with the car were brought in for questioning but were released.
