This is what electricity will do to the human body. It NEVER a good idea to cut a live line. (Not an image of the perpetrator)

Ohio (The Gaslamp Post) – A man who police say cut his way into an electrical service substation in order to steal copper cable last Sunday, had died from electrocution.  The man was discovered after a utility worker with Duke Energy had gone to the substation to check on a problem that had disrupted service at around 11:30 am that day.

Around 2500 customers lost service when the man had cut a live high voltage line.

Service was restored within 45 minutes but crews were reportedly there as late as 4:45 pm, still looking over the possible damage.

Police are not releasing the man’s identity, pending an investigation.
