I Bet You Didn’t Hear About THIS In The News: Last Year George Zimmerman Went After Cops When One Of Their Kids Beat Black Homeless Man!

Posted on May 24, 2012

Florida (The Gaslamp Post) – It has just come out that last year, George Zimmerman, the man charged with murder, after shooting Trayvon Martin in self-defense, came to the defense of a black homeless man who was beaten by the son of a white police lieutenant.  According to CBS Local in Tampa, back in January 2011, days after a video taken of the attack was posted online, Mr. Zimmerman called out the Sanford Police Department.

Hey Al?  Hey Jessee?  You guys might was to sit down for this one…

George Zimmerman, before a community forum, wanted to know why the police were dragging their feet, when it came to arresting the man responsible for the attack on a poor black man.  So much for claiming that Mr. Zimmerman acted out of racism, huh?

In a 90 second statement made by Mr. Zimmerman at the forum, regarding the police hesitating to arrest Justin Collison, son of a police officer, Mr. Zimmerman is on record saying the following:

“I would just like to state that the law is written in black and white.  It should not and cannot be enforced in the gray for those who are in the thin blue line.”

When it was all said and done, Sanford Police Chief Brian Tooley was forced to retire.  He reportedly went on the offensive with the department, even going as far as insisting that Chief Tooley lose his pension.

“I’d like to know what action the commission is taking in order to repeal Mr. Tooley’s pension.  I’m not asking you to repeal his pension; I believe he’s already forfeited his pension by his illegal cover-up in corruption in what happened in his department.”

But before Zimmerman was done speaking, he went on to recount his experience with the police department during several ride-alongs with officers.  This seemed to be the most incriminating, when he made claims of corruption within the department.

“The officer showed me his favorite hiding spots for taking naps. He explained to me he doesn’t carry a long gun in his vehicle because in his words, ‘Anything that requires a long gun requires a lot of paperwork and you’re gonna find me as far away from it.’”

Mr. Zimmerman went on to call the behavior of the officers “disgusting,” and described other infractions, ranging from multiple “lunch breaks,” to attending “parties” for other officers who were retiring, while on duty.

So now I ask you America, does this sound like a racist, or a guy who sticks his neck out, and stands up for what is right?
