Texas (The Gaslamp Post) – Police say two men robbed a couple whom they had flagged down, just outside of Fort Worth, last Wednesday.  The couple believed that they were pulling over to help a man that was having car trouble.

The robbery occurred on a service road along Interstate 35, shortly before 9:30 pm.

According to the Star-Telegram, the couple was flagged down by a man who was standing next to his car.  As soon as the couple stopped, a second man stepped out of the car with a shotgun.  The two demanded money, making off with around $100, prior to taking off in their car.

Police spotted the suspect’s vehicle from a description by the victims and arrested Eric Dewayne Jones, 24, and 33-year-old Quantis Orayma Smith, both of Fort Worth.  Both are charged with aggravated robbery.
