Your Parenting FAIL Story Of The Day: Mom Packed Daughter Lunch Loaded With PCP

Posted on June 11, 2012

Texas (The Gaslamp Post) – Police say an Austin mom intentionally laced her 6-year-old daughter’s lunch with PCP, on May 4, 2012.  The little girl was taken by Child Protection Services, and turned over to another family member.  The mother, Torina Ann Gutierrez, 34, has been arrested and charged with endangering a child.

The girl was observed that day, acting strangely and talking to people who were not there.  She told a school councilor that she felt “crazy and dizzy” after eating her lunch, and said that she was hearing “banging” in her head.

School officials notified Gutierrez, according to the Statesman, who told the school, “don’t call EMS and don’t call (Child Protective Services), I’m on my way.”  She reportedly retrieved her daughter from school and took her home, before calling in EMS.

Both Gutierrez and her daughter tested positive for PCP, at the hospital.  The 6-year-old also told CPS workers that her lunch, which contained her sandwich that, “tasted like fireworks,” was made by her mother.  She stated that she has seen the substance in her home.  Gutierrez’s daughter called the drug by the name, “angel dust,” and drew a picture of the container it comes in.

Gutierrez was reportedly arrested June 8, 2012, according to the Examiner.
