Libraries Installed Privacy Screens For Better PORN Viewing ?????

California (The Gaslamp Post) – Of all of the places one wouldn’t expect to find hard-core pornography, the library is turning out to be where some are going to find it online.  It’s no secret that this has been going on for some time and people have been complaining.

So what action does a city take in order to address this?

Ordinarily the solution would be to block those websites and post the rule that those computers are not to be used to access that sort of thing.  It’s a public library after all, right?  Tax-payer funded places where readers and students go to study is what a library is supposed to be, right?

Not is San Francisco, it’s not!

Nope, instead of putting the kibosh on perverts who feel the need to view that sort of material in public, on computers that are paid for with tax dollars, they’ve instead elected to put up special “privacy” screens.

The idea is to limit what is on the screen from being viewed by anyone other than the person at the computer.

Anything else is considered censorship according to the good people of San Francisco.  Now rather than denying pornographic websites from being viewed on public computers (notice I said public), where anyone could log on including kids, the answer is just to get a special monitor so no one knows what those perverts are watching while they’re right there in your midst.

Amazing, 15 years ago every right we as Americans had, began coming under attack.  Around every corner we were bombarded with the tragic phrase, “what about the children?”

Now you can’t get salt in some restaurants, good luck buying a Big Gulp in New York, and the first lady shakes a finger and condemns you over a toy in your kids happy meal.  You are the world’s crappiest parent if you don’t feed your kids a steady diet of oatmeal and broccoli, she’ll tell you as she crams a handful of french fries into her mouth…

Sugar and salt are bad, what about the children, but porn on publicly funded computers and internet is just fine.

You can’t make this crap up folks…
