I Bet You Didn’t Hear About THIS On The News! Obama Campaign Co-Chair To Recieve Honor For Doing What The Media Has Villified Mitt Romney For?

Posted on September 8, 2012

Colorado (The Gaslamp Post) – The co-chairman of President Obama’s re-election campaign is set to receive an honorable mention for saving several companies from going under, during his work as a venture capitalist.

So?  What’s wrong with that, right?  If a man can take a failing company and turn it around, not once, not twice, but three times over, he deserves such recognition.

Regardless of one’s political affiliation, give credit to where credit is due.  To the victor goes the spoils.

The issue is that the guy who did it, was able to do so only after firing hundreds if not thousands of workers from various large, nationally recognized companies.

Hmmm…  Question for you America; although from a logical standpoint, downsizing is sometimes necessary for the survival of a company, wasn’t this same strategy what the liberal media has been using in order to smear presidential candidate, former Governor, Mitt Romney?

One is adored and praised for his risks and efforts as a venture capitalist and the other has been smeared in the media as a VULTURE CAPITALIST?

Presidential candidate and former Massachusetts Governor, Mitt Romney.

America, I’d like to introduce you to one Mr. Frank Peña, former venture capitalist with Vestar Capital, as well as transportation secretary and energy secretary under former President Bill Clinton.

Frank Pena, venture capitalist and co-chair of President Obama’s re-election campaign.

If you were wondering why you haven’t heard about any of this, it is because certain elements within our news media have been doing their best to keep this quiet.  According to Bob Unruh at World Net Daily, The Denver Post was first approached with the story about honoring Mr. Peña but turned it down.  Since then, there has been a total media blackout on the matter.

Why on earth wouldn’t the president himself advertise the accomplishments of a member of his campaign, as well as a guy on his team?  If anything, it would help to solidify his abilities of job creation in the minds of potential (and undecided) American voters, would it not?

According to Mr. Jon Caldera of the Denver based Independence Institute;

“His venture capital firm laid off hundreds of workers at Birdseye Foods … but hundreds are still employed because Birdseye did not fail,” he continued. “His venture capital firm closed three domestic factories with the Solo Cup Company costing hundreds of jobs … But Solo Cup is still in business, supplying real jobs.”

Peña is also credited with turning around Del Monte as well.

But still even after such an amazing and notable feat of economic wisdom and skill, the media still won’t touch it.

“That means there are winners and losers in the marketplace. But competition makes all players more efficient, which is great for customers. Failing businesses need to radically change how they do things to become competitive again, or they go out of business.

I believe this is a story worth telling. But the media in Denver, including the paper of record, the Denver Post, won’t touch it. I am asking for your help in celebrating the venture capital success of Pena by helping raise the funds needed for a full-page announcement in the Denver Post. If we can raise $23,000 we will run a full-page ‘thank you’ to the national co-chair of the Obama re-election campaign and help educate the hundreds of thousands of Post readers to the importance of capitalism.”

Did you see that?  The Denver Post is making them purchase the space rather than jumping on this colossal achievement on the part of one of the president’s people.  Chances are they’re betting that this guy won’t be able to come up with the money.

That’s alright Denver Post, don’t worry about going through the trouble.  I got this one – don’t sweat it…

Here, I’ll do it for you.

Mr. Caldera told World Net Daily that;

“I don’t think most people understand the incredible amount of risk people like Federico Pena, a partner in a large firm, take.”

Well, he’s right.  Cut workers to save a company so it can survive later to hire more people?  I have no problem with that, bravo sir!

The fact that he’s a democrat and he’s working for the president?  I have no problem with that either, your politics are your own prerogative and so what if you scored a job with the president’s campaign?  Good for you!

The fact that the media is doing its’ damnedest to keep this story quiet because they know the second this gets out, everything that’s been said about candidate Romney is null and void?

Yeah, I have a problem with that.  A BIG F&@%ING problem with that!

Take this info with you as you travel on to November 6, 2012, my friends.  Crucify someone whose on the other team and smear them to no end over something they did which really isn’t a bad thing at all, but it’s just fine if they do it.

World Net Daily reportedly called the White House and asked for a comment on this story, but they’ve yet to be returned.
