Vermont (The Gaslamp Post) – Police responding to a burglary complaint apprehended the suspect a few blocks away, on foot, and pushing her children in a stroller.  An apartment resident told police that he had heard someone enter his apartment and then abruptly leave.

Arrested: Shawna Hosmer reportedly left kids on sidewalk while she went in to rob homes.

The victim noticed his wallet missing and then saw the suspect walking away from his apartment and called police.

Police located the suspect, now identified as 24-year-old Shawna Hosmer, based on a description provided by a victim of a previous burglary that day.  According to the victim, Hosmer left her children out on the sidewalk while she went in to enter their home.  She was found walking down the street with her two children in a stroller.

Hosmer reportedly had the second victim’s wallet on her person.

She was arrested and charged with burglary and violation of terms of release due to similar charges she incurred earlier this year.
