Michigan (The Gaslamp Post) – Two men thought that a woman stopped at a red light in Detroit, late last month, would be an easy mark.  After finding out the hard way that they had made a poor life decision, they reportedly turned and ran for their lives.

Police say a 59-year-old unidentified woman was stopped in traffic, awaiting the green light, when another car had come up from behind and rear-ended her.  When she exited her vehicle in order to inspect the damage, two men from the vehicle that had struck hers were already approaching her.

One of them carrying an unnamed weapon (a handgun, c’mon it’s Detroit).

The woman, a concealed carry permit holder, reportedly pulled her gun and stopped the bad guys in their tracks.  The men reportedly ran for their car and sped off without a single shot being fired.

No injuries were reported in the incident, but Detroit police are looking for a bright red 2002 Ford Taurus with front end damage.  Anyone with information about the car or it’s occupants are asked to call Detroit police at (313)596-5240
