I Bet You Didn’t Hear About THIS On The News: UN To Deploy “Monitors” To Watch Conservatives During Election To Prevent Voter Intimidation

The United States (The Gaslamp Post) – This may be old news to some, but earlier this year the NAACP approached the UN Security Council in order to plead their case for help, because the evil American conservatives were threatening the voting rights of minorities. They claimed that voter id laws were aimed at suppressing specific groups which would likely vote for President Obama.

It’s been quite awhile since we heard anything about it, but it appears that their tactic worked.  The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, in conjunction with the ACLU, NAACP, and other so-called civil rights groups, were able to convince the UN to come to the U.S. on election day and keep an eye on things.

According to The Hill:

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), a United Nations partner on democratization and human rights projects, will deploy 44 observers from its human rights office around the country on Election Day to monitor an array of activities, including potential disputes at polling places. It’s part of a broader observation mission that will send out an additional 80 to 90 members of parliament from nearly 30 countries.

The request for assistance from the UN has drawn alot of heat from conservative groups like True the Vote, who has worked to expose and fight voter fraud.  According to Catherine Engelbrecht, president of True the Vote:

“These activist groups sought assistance not from American sources, but from the United Nations,” she said in a statement to The Hill. “The United Nations has no jurisdiction over American elections.”

According to the Examiner, this is not the first time that international observers have been present during American presidential elections.  This time around they intend to look for not only voter interference on the part of conservative groups, but to observe the overall American election process.

“They are focusing on a number of areas on the state level, including the legal system, election administration, the campaign, the campaign financing [and] new voting technologies used in the different states,” said OSCE spokeswoman Giovanna Maiola.

But The Hill said that “observers will follow up on the concerns raised by civil rights groups.”

“We attended their meeting, we took note of the issues they raised and we asked our observers in the field to follow up on them,” Maiola said. The Hill did not say if OSCE representatives met with True the Vote.

It is interesting that special interest groups with names that imply quite the opposite of what it is that they do, find fault with our legally established process – when they don’t get their way.

How soon we forget…

Come to think about it, was there not also voter interference in the 2008 election?  Did or did not the DOJ, under Atty. Gen. Eric Holder, REFUSE to prosecute the New Black Panther Party over voter intimidation?

Also interesting is that the organization that they choose to turn to for help with their cause, the UN, is known for it’s corruption, human rights abuses on it’s own part, and even been found to have been actively participating in the child sex trade, from Africa to Bosnia.

This is what UN “peace keepers” do in their spare time – when they’re not out “observing” elections.

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.  You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?” Matthew 7:15-16.
