The United States (The Gaslamp Post) – We are now at +22 days since the election, and yet there are still some that seem hell-bent on going after their opposition. In the days leading up to November 6th, the rhetoric grew from bad to worse, as what began as ugly words evolved into vile spewing of utter contempt.
The president himself told his supporters that “voting is the best ‘revenge’”, as if his supporters had been wronged in some way and he would right it. Who could forget what his senior adviser Valarie Jarrett said, of those who opposed the president’s administration:
“After we win this election, it’s our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded, the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay. Congress won’t be a problem for us this time. No election to worry about after this is over and we have two judges ready to go”
Payback time? Those who helped us will be rewarded, those who opposed us will get what they deserve?
After hearing (or reading, rather) those words, it shouldn’t come as any surprise that the first target the leftists intend to set their cross hairs on is the church.
Why? Well for obvious reasons; the Christian church must be eradicated as they stand in the way of the state being all powerful.
Madison, Wisconsin, based “Freedom From Religion Foundation” has recently filed a lawsuit against the federal Internal Revenue Service over their stance on ignoring what they say are violations of a 1954 law which prohibit church involvement in politics.
According to the “Johnson Amendment”(which amended the U.S. tax code), churches, church groups, and other 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations are prohibited by law from discussing or participating in politics. As a great many churches and clergy openly spoke out against the president and his positions, naturally this opposition must be dealt with.
The FFRF is now saying that all of those churches, congregations, and clergy are guilty of violating that law, and demand that the IRS act. Coupled with that notion is a parallel notion that the church is unfairly benefiting from tax-exemption, for absolutely no reason.
According to a writer for the Examiner, if we would only tax this institution, we could reap $71B in additional revenue that we would otherwise not be able to obtain. The idea that the church is now some kind of piggy bank to which the public is somehow entitled, only goes to expose the socialist/communist agenda at work.
With the state-run media instilling fear into the American public over the Fiscal Cliff (that we all knew was coming, and is code word for we’re going to print more money to keep the entitlements going or else), and the illiterate American drone mindlessly chanting “tax the rich, tax the rich, fair share, fair share”, so should it also come as no surprise that “those who opposed us” would be the likely target.
Both sides of the argument, the secularists and the church alike are welcoming IRS action, but for different reasons. While the Godless secularists seek to punish the church in the name of their freedom alone, the church’s position is that by the IRS taking action, they will in fact be able to set a precedent, reinforcing the place of the church in America by using the 1st Amendment.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
By this argument, any action by the federal government, by taking punitive action against the church’s 501(c)(3) status, on the basis of violating the Johnson Amendment is obviously unconstitutional. This however wouldn’t be the first time in history that our constitution would have been attacked.
Our freedoms are under attack daily, and the average American is either oblivious or in denial. The constitution is slowly whittled away over time, and yet we simply ignore it.
The move to force the hand of the IRS onto the church has one purpose and one purpose only; it is to allow for big government to intervene and control the church, and shut them down if they speak out against it. How so? you ask…
Traditionally it has never been the practice for the IRS to question the church, since only “high level” IRS agents have the authority to investigate them. This stands to reason due to their tax-exempt status.
But if the secularists have their way, and the church will be forcefully taxed, then the IRS can come in at any time, bringing with them their regulations and penalties. How often has the tax code been used to jail political opposition in this country?
Would that not result in a priest being led off in handcuffs due to violating some contradictory regulation, save he spoke ill of an administration? It happened in Cuba!
Churches generate revenue through donations and weekly tithing. In return, the church usually has public outreach programs, they witness and evangelize to others, and they provide aid whenever possible to victims of tragedy.
This far contrasts the main-stream media’s conception of the wide-spread televangelist who is on TV and only in it for the money, but it is true. The vast majority of congregations in the church follow the commandments, and do unto others.
Using Hurricane Sandy as an example, look at the aid that FEMA was able to provide versus what the church was able to provide. FEMA made an appearance and then left, the president went down for a photo op and then split, but there are still church groups there today, distributing food and clothing donations.
Two examples among many are Mercury One and Billy Graham. They along with the American Red Cross and other non-profit organizations are STILL there in the aftermath. Where is that big government that everyone said they needed?
So what sense does it make to go after the church? To a free person, it doesn’t.
Ignore our Creator at your own peril, but according to our constitution you have that right to do so. The red flag goes up when the government decides that they can threaten the church.
It has been done successfully several times throughout history, and all for the same reason: to control the people by crushing them underfoot and forcing them to believe not in God, but the state. To the dictators, THEY are god and they are all powerful.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely, as in the case of every dictator before us. I said before that those who purvey communism have all been Darwinists, and believe that communism is the natural evolutionary order of society. If you stop to think about it, if you were the dictator, wouldn’t you think the same way?
Communists and socialists detest the church because they adhere to laws of God to which they themselves cannot, and will not.
Karl Marx said in 1844, “The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is the demand for their real happiness. To call on them to give up their illusions about their condition is to call on them to give up a condition that requires illusions.”
Lenin his protégé, said that, “No educational book can eradicate religion from the minds of masses who are crushed by capitalist hard labor, and who are at the mercy or the blind destructive forces of capitalism, until those masses themselves learn to fight this root of religion, fight the rule of capital in all its forms, in a united, organized, planned and conscious way.”
Lenin also attacked the church in the same way that the FFRF is seeking to do so as well. In 1921, just after the revolution, the Russian Orthodox Church gave aid to the many starving in the post civil war Russia.
This would not stand as far as he was concerned. So in a secret letter to the VTsIK (All-Russian Central Executive Committee), he ordered the church to surrender all of it “museum treasures”. A month later he ordered them to surrender any valuables not associated with the Liturgy.
Several days later he demanded all of their other non-consecrated gold and silver, and then days later he demanded those too. Lenin did this using armed loyalists and then arrested and executed the clergy and parishioners.
That was his plan all along. Soon another 3.3 million were starved or outright executed. That number jumped to 50 million when Stalin took to power.
Adolph Hitler subscribed to Nitche, who stated that “God is dead”. To Hitler, HE was the new messiah, he was the savior of, and knew what was best for Germany (sound familiar?).
“One is either a Christian or a German-you cannot be both… Never (be Christian) again. That tale is finished . . . but we can hasten matters. The parsons will be made to dig their own graves. They will betray their God to us!” Adolph Hitler 1933.
Hitler went on to purge his country of dissenters, homosexuals, sick or insane, and basically anyone who he didn’t think belonged in the German gene pool. He ordered 5 million of his own people rounded up and executed; before he went on to exterminate 6 million Jews.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again America, we are heading down a very dangerous path as a nation. What has played out on the world’s stage several time in the last century is happening right now before our very eyes.
Be skeptical if you wish, but look at the facts.
The present regime has vowed revenge on dissenters and political opposition. It openly advocates eugenics through abortion, and seeks to dehumanize us as a people by incentivizing unconstrained sexuality and promoting single parent households.
This regime is revising history and teaching a new code of conduct through indoctrination in the reeducation camps we call public schools. They have accelerated the militarization of everyday law enforcement, and have all but done away with the 4th and 10th amendments.
They use food stamps, welfare, and section 8 in order to artificially create the kind of proletariat class that rose up to kill off the bourgeoisie (middle class) during the Russian Revolution. If that won’t be enough bodies to drag the entire country down, don’t forget that they are arming illegal aliens and drug cartels as well!
They have covertly attacked the church, but now the pieces are all in place on the chess board, and the leftists want to attack the church openly, monetarily, and with the intention of crushing it under law.
By turning further away from God by allowing the church to be attacked, it is the last straw for us as a nation. Not to act, is to act. Not to speak, is to speak. God will not hold us blameless.
14 “‘But if you will not listen to me and carry out all these commands,
15 and if you reject my decrees and abhor my laws and fail to carry out all my commands and so violate my covenant,
16 then I will do this to you: I will bring on you sudden terror, wasting diseases and fever that will destroy your sight and sap your strength. You will plant seed in vain, because your enemies will eat it.
17 I will set my face against you so that you will be defeated by your enemies; those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee even when no one is pursuing you.
Do you see where this progression of events is taking us? It can be laid out no more simply than this America.
