Why are the pretty ones always crazy?
Georgia (The Gaslamp Post) – A woman who didn’t take a break-up very well is now facing the next 12 years behind bars.
A word of advice to my male readers out there: don’t date a broad with an SUV!
Ms. Vanessa Marie Garrett-Rogers, 28, of Hiram, Georgia pleaded guilty Monday, to charges of aggravated battery, aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an accident, in connection with a July 2010 incident where she ran her ex-boyfriend over. She was also ordered to pay $58,000 in restitution to her ex.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Garret-Rogers went to the trailer park where her ex-boyfriend lived, hours after he dumped her, and ran him down with her Toyota 4Runner. According to witness statements, Garret-Rogers hit the man with her SUV and dragged him under her vehicle. She then placed the vehicle in reverse and backed back over him, prior to driving off into the night.
The victim reportedly lay there motionless, appearing to be dead, until emergency workers arrived. He was transported to the hospital and treated for a dislocated pelvis and a fractured femur, along with injuries to his skull and hands.
Police located her vehicle the next day in her father’s garage, with damage consistent with having hit a human.
