Oklahoma (The Gaslamp Post) – Police processing two women they had picked up during the wee hours of the morning outside of a closed business found something unexpected on one of – or inside of rather – one of the suspects.
Ada police approached a car they had spotted outside of the Dairy Lou and discovered two women “kicked back” inside. Police took one of the women into custody when they discovered that she had a warrant, and a “hit” from a police K9 alerted officers that the other may have had something on her as well.
Officers then brought the two women, Jennifer Delancy and Christie Dawn Harris to jail for processing.
While on their way to the station, one of the women told the officers that she had a hypodermic needle in her shoe while the other kept stating that she had to go to the bathroom. Officers were able to stop and remove the needle from the woman’s shoe but the other repeatedly kept repeating her necessity to use the facilities.
During booking, a female officer noticed something sticking out of where there shouldn’t have been anything – on a female. The female officer then realized that what she saw was the wooden handle of a gun. After looking closer, the officer then realized that the woman had several small plastic baggies wedged in her butt crack.
According to the Smoking Gun:
At the lockup, Harris was directed to change out of her clothes into “jail clothing.” When directed to lower her underwear so that a female cop could check for contraband, Harris “advised that she was on her period and did not want to.”
Harris eventually complied with the cop’s order. “I observed at that time a wooden and metal item sticking out from her vagina area,” reported Officer Kathy Unbewust, who added that she “pulled the item from her vagina, and found it to be a 5 shot revolver with rounds in the chamber.”
The baggies were found to contain methamphetamine, and the gun turned out to be a loaded .22LR, five-shot revolver.
Jennifer Delancy and Christie Dawn Harris are both facing felony narcotics charges, and Harris is facing a felony weapons charge.
