Wisconsin (The Gaslamp Post) – Police responding to reports of a woman who was standing on a street corner, naked from the waist down, blew the lid off of a caper in which the victim had no idea anything had even happened.  Raw Story reports that an 18-year-old Mosinee woman had reportedly been seen standing outside of Rose Garden Banquet Center, sans pants late last month, accompanied by another individual.

When police arrived, the woman now identified as Elizabeth Hoen reportedly had her pants back on, and both she and her male companion “seemed to be hugging,” according to Wausau Police Lt. Michael Juedes.  WAOW-TV reports that as soon as they noticed police, they took off running.  Responding officers pursued the two but lost the male subject.

Police reportedly followed Hoen to a nearby house where they were able to apprehend her.  She reportedly had 3 small steaks in her purse belonging to a nearby grocery store, valued at around $20.

Officers went to the grocery store and met with the owner who indicated that he had not sold any steaks that day.  According to the Wausau Daily Herald, a review of the store’s security tape showed both Hoen and the male subject in the meat department.

Hoen was charged with shoplifting, resisting arrest, and also with two counts of bail jumping in connection with two recent charges of retail theft under $500.  Her bond hearing has been set for April 11, 2013.
