Officer Byron Abeyta, 22, arrested and charged after being found with a teen girl and booze in his car.

Valencia County sheriff’s deputies arrested Abeyta Wednesday after he was found with the 17-year-old girl.

Capt. Gary Hall said deputies were called to a home in Rio Communities regarding the missing teen. As deputies were talking to the teen’s mother Abeyta and the girl pulled up in his car.

A possible inappropriate relationship was not the only concern deputies had. Hall said they also found booze in Abeyta’s car including a 12-pack of beer and two open bottles of hard liquor.
